Olive Oil (From Spain)

Olive oil is a natural and hypoallergenic way to nourish and moisturize skin. Regular use of soap made with olive oil helps the skin retain moisture, keeps skin supple and smooth which translates into younger looking skin.
Soap with olive oil is great for dry and sensitive skin because olive oil is a fantastic moisturizer.
Olive oil contains high levels of many antioxidants, including Vitamin A and E. The antioxidants stimulate skin cells leading to regrowth and maintenance of healthy firm skin. Using soap made with olive oil helps protect and reverse the damage and wrinkles caused from sun exposure, pollution, smoke and an unhealthy diet.
Olive oil soap will not clog your pores because it is non-greasy, making it great for people who suffer from Acne.

Coconut Oil (From the Philippines)

Best known for adding a luxurious lather and firmness to the soap
Contains important antioxidants that help protect the skin from harmful ultraviolet rays.
Helps prevent skin infections
Coconut oil helps to reduce the appearance of rashes and is especially soothing to dry, red, irritated skin. It also removes dead skin cells, making way for newer, softer skin to emerge.  It  is an emollient, (exceedingly moisturizing as it literally attracts water out of the air and draws it to the skin)

 

Organic Shea Butter (From South Africa)


Extracted from the nuts of the Karite tree

As stated in the 2007 research article published by the American Journal of Clinical Nutrition, linoleic acid was found to “lower likelihood of senile dryness” and to be associated with “better skin skin-aging appearance” among middle-aged American women.

Lye (sodium hydroxide)

Also known as caustic soda, Lye is essential in making natural soap. It is what breaks down the fats or oils, creating the chemical reaction (saponification) so that they can cling to dirt and clean whatever is being washed. It is during the saponification process when the lye interacts with the oils that soap and glycerin is created.
All caustic qualities of the lye are removed during the saponification process.

Water

Is used to dissolve the lye.
Too much water will result in a soap that shrinks when the finished bars are dried

Fornya Premium handmade Soaps utilize only skin-safe approved fragrances & colorants. Fragrances are added at 2% or less of weight and colorant percentages are less than .01 of a percent. Fragrances and exfoliators have been added to meet consumer response. Available fragrances include:
